It also has an underlying additional benefit which is to stimulate the immune systems own healing mechanisms by creating and promoting a sense of well being through poems and beautiful music. This enchanting CD brings to life a myriad of special characters and assistants like Dr. Doodlebat, who help soothe an ailing child about their illness whether at home having a cold, a bad day or something more serious that requires hospitalization. Dr. Doodlebat lovingly addresses those in a vulnerable state by creating beautiful music, soothing vocal sounds and entertaining poems that guide, encourage and educate. Dr. Doodlebat, - A Storybook Adventure, Kit & Kaboodles comes in a specially designed toy kit that includes; the healing CD IPod player with kids size pink or blue headphones, a Dr. Doodlebats "Color Me Owies" Talking Book,  Dr. Doodlebat Stuffy doll and Dr. Doodlebat special “Krayster Krayons”, a toy within a toy purposely created for the Dr. Doodlebat collection.

Currently there is no product on the market quite like Dr. Doodlebat. I have received tremendous feedback about this concept from Doctors and Nurses at the University of Calgary Nursing Faculty as they explained that this product is something they very much need in assisting an ailing child. My sincerest hope is to make this product available to all parents of ailing children at home or in the hospital and further develop a creative line of character spin-off toylines, animated DVD’s and feature films. Parents with children worldwide wouldn’t think of not having a box of Band-Aids on hand and with an effective global marketing plan, there will be no household without a Dr. Doodlebat “Kit & Kaboodles” at the ready with “Toys that Matter.”

I want to send you a quick email and share with you what a wonderful CD the “Dr. Doodlebat” Storybook Collection truly was. I listened to it one day driving home and thought it was truly beautiful and then when I arrived home I thought my daughter would enjoy it.

​

My daughter has a blood disorder that is mostly managed on an out-going patient basis. She is np stranger to our children’s hospital or the IV pokes and everyday tools that the doctors and nurses use. She listened to the stories and music and she loved it! It has been the beginning of many conversations that we have shared. Granted I am a nurse and I can take the conversations the directions that are helpful to her to understand an ongoing experience of chronic illness, but it has been wonderful.

The CD is beautiful and I will share it. I have a nursing student who is just beginning her practicum on unit 1(oncology) at ACH and I look forward to sharing it with her and hearing her thoughts as she moves through her practicum. A hospitalized preschooler is a great challenge for all professionals and this CD IS A GIFT TO ALL THE PRESCHOOLERS AND THE PROFESSIONALS THAT CARE FOR THEM. It would be very helpful if came along with family support and enhanced understanding of how to assist a child navigating the healthcare system.
